- The Garima Grihas for transgender persons is being set up with the help of community-based organizations.
- 12 pilot shelter homes have been initiated with the aim of providing safe and secure shelter to transgender persons.
- Such shelter homes have been set up in the states of Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and Odisha.
