- It will act as a subsidiary of Indian Energy Exchange.
- The IEX is an electronic system regulated by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission.
- The headquarters of IEX is located in New Delhi.
- The GAIL and Petronet LNG have joined this IEX.
- As the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases after the United States and China, India has been aiming to achieve its emission reduction commitments through the use of green fuel and natural gas.
