	- The US Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) confirmed that the X1-class solar flare currently erupted from a sunspot called AR2887.
- It was positioned in the centre of the Sun and facing the Earth, based on its location. 
- The geomagnetic storm that hit Earth on October 30 has been rated as G3 on the 5-step scale of ranking of solar events.
