- Global foreign direct investments (FDI) dipped by eight per cent in 2024.
- This assessment was released by the United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
- In developing economies, FDI was decreased by 2%.
- FDI related to the SDGs fell by 11% in 2024.
- FDI into China decreased by 29%, following its 2023 downward trend.
- But India saw a rise of 13% in FDI, increasing in both numbers and overall value.
- For ASEAN group FDI grew by just 2%.
