- A German cybersecurity firm, Greenbone Sustainable Resilience has published its second report related to medical data leaks.
- According to the report, medical details of over 120 million Indian patients have been leaked and made freely available on the internet.
- It also classifies countries in three categories of good, bad and ugly, based on the action taken by the governments after its first report was released.
- The first report was published in October 2019.
- India ranks second in the “ugly” category, after the U.S.
- The state of Maharashtra is placed at the top of the list of states that are affected by the data leak, followed by Karnataka and West Bengal.
