A German cybersecurity firm, Greenbone Sustainable Resilience has published its second report related to medical data leaks.
According to the report, medical details of over 120 million Indian patients have been leaked and made freely available on the internet.
It also classifies countries in three categories of good, bad and ugly, based on the action taken by the governments after its first report was released.
The first report was published in October 2019.
India ranks second in the “ugly” category, after the U.S.
The state of Maharashtra is placed at the top of the list of states that are affected by the data leak, followed by Karnataka and West Bengal.
