- The second anniversary of GST implementation was observed on 1st July 2019.
- The Finance Ministry unveiled a new return filing mechanism besides a host of other reforms to simplify this indirect tax system.
- The GST collections for June 2019 stood at less than one lakh crores (Rs.99,939 crores)
