- The BJP has won 99 of Gujarat's 182 assembly seats while the Congress and its alliance has won 80, A party needs 92 seats or more to form government in Gujarat.
- In Gujarat, almost 2 percent (5.5 lakh votes) of the voters chose the "None Of The Above" (NOTA) option and that's higher than the shares of all other parties apart from the BJP or Congress.
- The BJP has won 44 of Himachal Pradesh's 68 seats and the Congress has won 21. A party needs 35 seats or more to form government in Himachal.
- While in Gujarat the BJP won for the consecutive 6th term and in Himachal Pradesh, the ruling party Congress lost its government to the BJP
