- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated a three-day long 'Happy Cities Summit 2018' at Mangalagiri town in Amaravati.
- It is a unique event bringing the best of minds in urban innovation across the world.
- The Government of Andhra Pradesh is hosting it, the event partners are Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), and Centre for Liveable Cities-Singapore.
- This is the first time the event is happening in Andhra Pradesh in tune with the government’s thrust on raising the Happiness Index in the State.
- The four central themes of this summit is – citizen-centric governance; liveable communities; clean and healthy environment; and vibrant economies.
