Haryana opens subsidised canteens

- The Haryana government has opened subsidised canteens in four districts — Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar and Yamunanagar — under the ‘Antyodaya Aahaar Yojana’ that will offer a meal at Rs.10 to the poor.
- The scheme was launched on the occasion of the Republic Day celebrations in Panchkula, Haryana.
- Its objective is to provide good quality of healthy and nutritious food at affordable lower costs to poor, homeless people who are officially designated to be below the poverty line (BPL status).
