- With the southwest monsoon continuing to stay heavy over interior regions of Karnataka, the Bengaluru city witnessed highest ever annual rainfall this year breaking the record of 115 years. The highest ever was recorded earlier in 2005 with more than 1606.8 mm rainfall.
- The annual rainfall for the city, 1615.2mm, as on October 14th, is the highest ever.
