- Telangana government’s two nominations in the ICID Register of Heritage Irrigation Structures are accepted by International Executive Council meeting in Canada.
- This council is the highest decision-making body of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID).
- The two nominated irrigation facilities are Sadarmatt anicut across river Godavari in Nirmal district and Pedda Cheruvu in Kamareddy district.
- ICID is a non-governmental professional network of experts from across the world in the field of irrigation, drainage, and flood management.
