- The Government of India has signed the Host Country Agreement with International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
- This is for the establishment of an Area Office & Innovation Centre of ITU in New Delhi.
- The Area Office and Innovation Centre of ITU at New Delhi will serve South Asian countries comprising Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and India.
