- The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that the quota for women in the public employment through direct recruitment will be increased from 30% to 40%.
- Tamil language will be made compulsory in the qualifying examination in all competitive examinations.
- It has been announced that the age limit for direct appointment will be relaxed by 2 years due to delays in competitive exams for government jobs conducted by the Recruitment agencies such as TNPSC due to the Corona pandemic.
