  • On July 19, 2019, Zimbabwe cricket has been suspended by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
  • Zimbabwe has been suspended for failing to provide free and democratic elections and ensuring that there is no government interference in cricket administration.
  • It will not be allowed to play in any ICC tournaments.
  • ICC has now altered the punishment for maintaining a slow over-rate. Both Captain and team members will be fined, not just Captain.
  • Shashank Manohar is the Chairperson of ICC and Manu Sawhney is the CEO.
