- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister opened a new ice cream factory at Aavin Dairy in Madurai.
- On behalf of the National Dairy Board, he opened a new ice cream plant with a production capacity of 30,000 liters.
- The plant here is the second for Aavin in Tamil Nadu after Chennai.
