- Javadekar also underlined India’s ambitious target of achieving the production of 450 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030.
- India’s per capita carbon emission is very low/
- The country has contributed very less in comparison to developed nations.
- India has announced Nationally Determined Contribution under Paris Agreement for reducing the carbon emission.
- India will be reducing its emission intensity by 35%.
- It will have 100 GW Solar Power and 175 GW renewable energy by 2022.
