  • Javadekar also underlined India’s ambitious target of achieving the production of 450 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030.
  • India’s per capita carbon emission is very low/
  • The country has contributed very less in comparison to developed nations.
  • India has announced Nationally Determined Contribution under Paris Agreement for reducing the carbon emission.
  • India will be reducing its emission intensity by 35%.
  • It will have 100 GW Solar Power and 175 GW renewable energy by 2022.
