- The event was recently organised at United States Capitol building to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
- India for Humanity initiative was launched by Union Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in October 2018 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
- Under it, artificial limb fitment camps are held across different countries identified through missions with financial support of Central government (MEA).
- For this initiative, MEA has collaborated with renowned charitable organisation Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), the parent body of Jaipur Foot.
