- The President of India, has inaugurated India Water Week-2017 in New Delhi. It is an international event organised by the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.
- In this 5th edition, 13 countries are participating for multi-disciplinary conference.
- It is seen as a platform to elicit ideas and opinions from global-level decision makers, researchers and entrepreneurs in the field of water resources development and management, Sustainable energy development, Water, Food and Energy Security. Water for inclusive Growth.
- The theme of India Water Week – 2017 is “Water and Energy for Inclusive Growth”.
