- Indian Armed Forces Flag Day is observed throughout the nation on 7th December every year.
- The day is to honour the martyrs as well as the soldiers who valiantly fight on our borders to safeguard the country from enemy.
- Since 1949, 7th December is observed as Indian Armed Forces Flag Day.
- The Government of India has constituted” Armed Forces Flag Day Fund” for the welfare and rehabilitation of the Ex-servicemen (ESM).
