- 9 Indian public and private companies have been featured in the Fortune Global 500 list of year 2022.
- Life Insurance Corporation of India has been ranked at 98th position in the list.
- LIC has been added to the list for the first time.
- Reliance Industries Limited (104th) listed for the 19th year in a row.
- The other Indian firms are: Indian Oil Corporation (142), ONGC (190), SBI (236), Bharat Petroleum (295) Tata Motors (370), Tata Steel (435) and Rajesh Exports (437).
- USA’s Walmart topped the list for the ninth consecutive year.
- It has maintained the first position for 17th time since 1995.
