- Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism launched the Indian Culture Web Portal in New Delhi.
- The main aim of the portal is to promote awareness among the citizens of India about the diverse heritage of the country.
- It is available in both English and Hindi.
- The web portal was proposed by the Ministry of Culture and was developed by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay and the data were organized by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
