- This day observed on December 4 every year to commemorate the launch of Operation Trident against Pakistan during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
- The demonstration at Sindhudurg will involve the participation of 20 warships along with 40 aircraft, including the MiG 29K and LCA Navy fighter jets.
- The theme for this year is “Operational Efficiency, Readiness, and Mission Accomplishment in the Maritime Domain.”
