Indian Railways sign MoU with GAIL

- GAIL (India) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Railways to create infrastructure for supplying natural gas to the transporter's workshops, production units, depots and residential colonies.
- It aims to the creation of infrastructure and supply of compressed natural gas (CNG), piped natural gas (PNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) for both industrial and domestic purposes.
- It would also help replace industrial gases like dissolved acetylene, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), Bharat Metal Cutting Gas (BMCG), furnace oil and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) with natural gas.
