  • The Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav inaugurated India’s largest online herbarium database, the ‘Indian Virtual Herbarium’ web portal.
  • The portal has been developed by the Botanical Survey of India.
  • Botanical Survey of India is a subordinate office under the Environment Ministry.
