Search engine giant, Google, paid homage to India's first woman photojournalist, Homai Vyarawalla, with a doodle on her 104th birth anniversary.
Homai Vyarawalla who carved a place for her in photojournalism during the pre-independence era, started her career as a photojournalist during the onset of World War II
Her first published pictures were in the 'Bombay Chronicle' and Majority of her works were published under the name of Dalda 13.
Her pictures include the first tricolour-hoisting after the Independence, Lord Mountbatten departing from India and Jawaharlal Nehru addressing the crowd after the Independence.
She was awarded with the second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan in 2011.
