- Panchayat Raj & Rural Development and IT Minister N. Lokesh received the Kalam Innovation in Governance Award-2018 presented by the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Centre in New Delhi.
- It has been awarded as part of the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Summit and Awards on Innovation in Governance.
- The Kalam Centre in recognising the development of rural areas and integration of technology in rural governance by the Andhra Pradesh government and selected Andhra Pradesh for innovation award in the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development category.
