- INS Vagsheer has joined the Indian navy.
- The INS Vagsheer, named after the deep-sea predator Sand Fish, represents India’s resolve to counter growing threats in its backyard.
- It is designed as a hunter-killer submarine under Project 75.
- It is the sixth and final submarine of the Scorpene-class under this Project.
- The first submarine, INS Kalvari, was commissioned in December 2017, followed by Khanderi, Karanj, Vela, and Vagir.
