- The International day of tolerance is observed on 16 November every year.
- Its aim is to educate people about the negative effects of intolerance and make people aware about the need of tolerance in society.
- It is an annual observance declared by the UNESCO in 1995.
- The first ever World Tolerance Summit held in Dubai on November 15 -16. It was organized by the International Institute of Tolerance.
- The Theme of the Summit was ‘prospering from Pluralism: Embracing Diversity through Innovation and Collaboration’.
