- The International Day to Protect Education from Attack was celebrated for the first time in 2020.
- The day was established by a unanimous decision of the UN General Assembly, calling on UNESCO and UNICEF to raise awareness of the plight of millions of children living in countries affected by conflict.
- In the leadup to 9 September 2020, Education Above All (EAA) Foundation is launching #UniteToProtect.
- It is a Global Campaign to Protect Education from Attack with its partners UNICEF, UNESCO and Save Our Future campaign.
