- Every year on the second Monday of February people join together to celebrate International Epilepsy Day.
- The global health event is celebrated to create awareness about the disorder, it impacts on the lives of patients, their families, personal lives, and career.
- The day was started and organized by the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) and the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE).
