- The four-day long international Lavi Fair at Rampur Bushahr in Himachal Pradesh has concluded.
- Besides being three centuries old, the fair is also known for its trade with Tibet, China and other countries.
- The fair is believed to be started by Raja Kehari Singh of Rampur Bushahr to facilitate trade.
- The main attraction during the fair is sale and purchase of Chamurthi horses – an endangered species of horse which traces its origin to the Tibet region.
- Chamurthi horses are also known as the ‘ship of the cold desert’.
