- This day is observed as the International Union of Railways (UIC).
- The theme of ILCAD 2021 is “distraction”.
- The motto is “Distraction kills!”
- “South-Central Railway (SCR)” of India observed the day by creating awareness programmes for public at level crossing gates.
- SCR is one among 18 zones of Indian Railways
- Jurisdiction of SCR lies with states of Telangana, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh
- Secunderabad railway station is current headquarter of SCR.
