The forget-me-not flower is the emblem of Missing children day.
In 1983, the U.S. President Ronald Reagan proclaimed May 25th as “National Missing Children’s Day.”
In 2001, 25th May was first formally recognized as International Missing Children’s Day (IMCD).
The day highlights the issue of child abduction, honours the lost children who have never been found and tries to educate parents to protect their children.
