  • Every year 25 May is commemorated as International Missing Children’s Day.
  • The forget-me-not flower is the emblem of Missing children day.
  • In 1983, the U.S. President Ronald Reagan proclaimed May 25th as “National Missing Children’s Day.”
  • In 2001, 25th May was first formally recognized as International Missing Children’s Day (IMCD).
  • The day highlights the issue of child abduction, honours the lost children who have never been found and tries to educate parents to protect their children.
  • Global Missing Children’s Network, a network of 23 countries is in the forefront of international child rescue.
