- remembering those that are victims of crime,
- Continuing efforts to seek out those that are still missing.
- 25 May is now widely referred to as Missing Children’s Day, with the forget-me-not flower as its emblem.
- The day was proclaimed in 1983, by U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
