In 1975, on June 2, around 100 sex workers gathered at Saint-Nizier Church in Lyon, France to protest againsttheir exploiting working and living conditions.
They are among the most vulnerable social groups in the world, and they often find themselves subjected to exploitation, physical and emotional exploitation, human rights violations, and social stigma from society.
