- In a bid to implement 'One Nation, One Ration Card' across the country by June 1, 2020, the Union Government has started inter-state portability of ration cards between
- Rajasthan-Haryana
- Telangana-Andhra Pradesh
- Maharashtra-Gujarat
- It implies beneficiaries living in Rajasthan/Haryana, Telangana/Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh/Gujarat can buy their quota of ration from the Public Distribution System (PDS) in either of the state.
- The inter-state portability scheme was launched by Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
