July 3 , 2019 1974 days 805 0
  • Iran has exceeded the 300-kilogram limit on its enriched uranium reserves set by the 2015 nuclear deal.
  • In 2015, due to international pressure Iran had agreed to limit its sensitive nuclear activities and allow international inspectors in return for the lifting of economic sanctions.
  • But due to rising tensions between Iran and the US and continuing economic blockade Iran has reverted back to enriching Uranium.
