- Iran revealed the development of a new loitering munition—colloquially known as “suicide” or “kamikaze” drones.
- The drone must have a flight endurance of 30 to 60 minutes.
- This may carry a payload of 3 to 6 kilograms within a range of 40 kilometres.
- Recently, the US, the UK and Canada imposed new sanctions against Iran by targeting the country's drone production and export efforts.
