  • The Launch Vehicle Mark III - LVM3-M2, India’s heaviest rocket injected 36 broadband satellites of a UK-based customer into precise orbits.
  • The vehicle is also dubbed as one of the heaviest for its ability to carry satellites up to 8,000 kg.
  • It is becoming the first Indian rocket with a payload of 5,796 kg.
  • LVM3-M2 is a three-stage launch vehicle consisting of two solid propellant S200 strap-ons on its sides.
  • The core stage was comprising L110 liquid stage and C25 cryogenic stage.
  • It was the first Indian rocket to carry a six-tonne payload, first commercial launch of LVM3 with NSIL.
  • Also, this is the first multi-satellite mission of LVM3 to LEO and first One Web mission with NSIL/DoS.
