- The 62nd Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Raising Day was observed this year.
- This Day helps commemorate the valour and sacrifice of these policemen.
- The ITBP was created in 1962 for reorganising the border intelligence and security set up along the Indo-Tibetan border.
- The ITBP is now deployed to patrol the Indo-China border from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Diphu La in Arunachal Pradesh.
- They are covering a distance of 3,488 km of the India-China border.
