- The Government of India marked the anniversary of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre on April 13, 2020.
- It is also known as Amritsar Massacre.
- On April 13, 1919, (Baisakhi Day), at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar in Punjab, a peaceful meeting was held by the people.
- The people gathered at the park to protest against Rowlatt Act silently.
- The people also assembled to condemn the arrest of two national leaders Satya Pal and Saifuddin Kitchlew.
- General Dyer ordered to open fire at the crowd that killed thousands.
