- This was the first election in the Union Territory after the abrogation of Article 370 in August 5, 2019.
- The Farooq Abdullah-led People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration made a big victory.
- Out of the 280 seats, the alliance has won 110 seats, while the BJP emerged as the single largest party by getting 75 seats.
- The Gupkar Alliance is an amalgam of six regional parties, including the National Conference (NC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
