- The Indian junior cyclists clinched their first-ever gold in the men's team sprint medal at the Junior Track Cycling World Championships in Frankfurt, Germany.
- The trio of Esow Alben, Ronaldo and Rojit Singh Yanglem landed the historic gold medal for India.
- With the team sprint win, India registered its first-ever cycling gold at the world level.
- Esow Alben also added two medals already in this tournament by winning silver in the Men's Sprint individual event and by winning bronze in the men's keirin final.
