Leading consumer products companies such as Coca-Cola India, PepsiCo India and Bisleri have launched a first-of-its-kind packaging waste management venture in the country.
The venture is called Karo Sambhav.
It will focus on creating a formal eco-system for collection of post-consumer packaging and optimising material recycling processes.
Karo Sambhav is a producer-led and owned venture that aims to ensure that no recyclable packaging material ends up in landfills by 2025.
Beverage industry states that nearly 90 per cent of the PET bottles are recycled and has plans to Ban 200 ml bottles.
