  • As per the Union railway ministry, 10,000 locomotives & 9,000 km of railway tracks would equip with the Kavach 4.0 in the first phase.
  • The nationwide implementation is aimed by December 2030.
  • When the train is running at 130 kmph, the KAVACH automatically reduced the speed to 120 kmph through the caution zone and restored it back to 130 kmph after exiting.
  • The train will be stopped 50 m from a red signal without the driver's intervention.
  • The driver didn’t use the horn, but KAVACH automatically sounded it while passing the level crossing gate.
  • The train will automatically be stopped at a red signal even when the driver has attempted to cross it.
