- Madhya Pradesh has notified the ‘Kuno Palpur Wildlife Sanctuary’ as a National park.
- The move would enable translocation of lions from Gir in Gujarat to Kuno park.
- Kuno Palpur Wildlife Sanctuary, now extended by 413 sq. km, has been developed for the translocation of Asiatic Lions project.
