- It is organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
- Kolkata Region bagged the first position as the overall winner under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat category.
- “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” was announced by Prime Minister on 31st October, 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
