- Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) and India Bulls Housing Finance (IBHF) boards have approved merger of the two entities.
- The new entity will be called Indiabulls Lakshmi Vilas Bank.
- CAR is the ratio of a bank’s capital in relation to its risk weighted assets and current liabilities.
- This rate is decided by RBI to prevent commercial banks from taking excess leverage and becoming insolvent in the process.
